GHS Pictograms

As of 2012, OSHA aligned its Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) with GHS. All hazardous chemical manufacturers must include GHS pictograms on their SDS’s and on their product container labels effective June 1, 2015. The GHS pictograms depict a black hazard symbol on a white background surrounded by a red diamond border. A chemical’s hazard classification determines which of the below pictograms appear on its respective label. As of December 1, 2013, all HazCom Standard covered employers are required to be trained on the following new pictograms and other GHS label elements.
